Collection Notice - Site360 identity Verification
At Woolworths Group, we care deeply about your privacy and that means giving you what you need to make informed choices. We want to make it simple for you to understand how we collect, use and share your personal information, so please read on to find out more.
How and why we collect your sensitive information (biometric information)
Woolworths Group (“we”, “our”, “us”) engages Site 360 to collect your sensitive information (which is defined in the Privacy Act and is a subset of ‘personal information’) on our behalf, including biometric information through facial recognition technology, for the purposes of verifying your identity.
We would like to ask you for your consent to this collection.
Site360 will collect this information directly from you, and use it to verify your identity, as permitted by law. This verification will enable you to sign into Woolworths Group sites and locations. Your sensitive information is not retained by Woolworths Group, and all identity documents used for verification are disposed of by Site 360 within 30 days of Site 360 first collecting the information from you.
Your rights
If you do not wish to provide or use your biometric information to verify your identity, there is an alternative option available, which involves manual submission and review of your identity documents.
